At airshows now you can see some of the airplanes that used to be classified. They remind you of this prior classification with signs like this one. "Deadly Force Authorized", but really, we just want you to buy our coffee cups and tee shirts for our beer fund.Anyway, that sign was around the F-22 at the show I went to. The F-22 is America's new Air Superiority fighter with a world wide mission to project US power. And really, if you are a bad guy you do not want to be in the air with F-22s around. You will never see what kilt you.
But, earlier this year in the F-22's first overseas deployment, the group of 6 of the USAF's most advanced fighters had to turn back to Hawaii while they were over the Pacific. 10 points to anyone who can tell me why they had to turn back. If I get some good answers I might post some more of the problems with the world's most advanced fighter.
